چکیده

Abstract The present experiment was conducted to determine the effect chemical fertilization rates and foliar application of plant growth regulators PGRs (Kinetin or Napthaleneacetic Acid (NAA) their interactions on growth, flowering, composition Ervatamia coronaria plants. plants were fertilized monthly with NPK at rate 2, 4 6 g pot-1, in addition control Plants received treatments sprayed either Kinetin NAA 50, 100 ppm for each one, while tap water. As general, results indicated that within level fertilizer treatments, treating different concentrations NAA) resulted significant increase tested vegetative (in terms height, number branches plant-1, leaf area, leaves stem diameter, root length, fresh dry weights leaves, stems roots), flowering parameters (Viz flowers/ plant, flowers), chlorophylls content, total carbohydrates, N, P , K%, indoles phenols, gibberellins, auxins cytokinins compared control, superiority particularly highest (100 ppm) . Under same raising caused a gradual all control. Based results, it can be recommended quality coronaria, could combined pot-1 NPK.

Response of Germination and Seedling Growth of Pepper cultivars to Seed Priming by Plant Growth Regulators

In order to study the germination and growth of pepper seeds, a factorial experiment based on a completely randomized design with three replications was conducted. The first factor was consisting of five cultivars of pepper (Marquiza, Cadia, California Wonder, California Wonder 310 and California Wonder 300) and the second factor was gibberellic acid with three levels (0 as control, 250 and 500...

Plant hormones are versatile chemical regulators of plant growth.

The plant hormones are a structurally unrelated collection of small molecules derived from various essential metabolic pathways. These compounds are important regulators of plant growth and mediate responses to both biotic and abiotic stresses. During the last ten years there have been many exciting advances in our understanding of plant hormone biology, including new discoveries in the areas o...

Physiological responses of peppermint (Mentha piperita L.) to plant growth regulators and salinity stress

Salinity of soil is a major abiotic stress limiting the crop production and growth of peppermint. The aim of study was assessment the plant growth regulators efficacy (salicylic acid (SA), jasmonic acid (JA), brassinosteroids (BRs), and non-application of hormone as control) on physiological traits of peppermint under salinity stress (0, 30, and 60 mM). The experiment was conducted using the co...

Cotton Radiation Use Efficiency Response to Plant Growth Regulators

Plant growth regulators (PGRs) are a common and widely used practice in cotton production for controlling plant growth, increasing yield, and improving management efficiency. Most of the PGRs used have an effect on plant growth, both vegetative and reproductive, and dry matter partitioning. However, there have been no reports of effects of PGRs on radiation use efficiency (RUE). It is logical t...

Plant Growth Regulators

Plant growth regulators are hormone-like chemicals that occur naturally in plants, and play a central role in their growth and development. Five major classes of plant growth regulators have been identified as plant hormones, but scientists believe that there are more waiting to be discovered. The five growth hormones include auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, and ethylene. Collec...
